Birkenstock, basalt with braid

I love my new Boston birks in basalt gray color! Honestly, I didn't expect to like the leather braid as much but it looks so pretty against the suede shoe. I read online that some people experience it rubbing on the top of their foot. I prefer wearing mine with socks and I don't make them too tight. The braid doesn't irritate my feet at all. The size: I wear 41 in European or 10-11 in American. The size 42- L11 or M9 in narrow fit me perfectly.
